A Local Handyman in Welwyn Garden City
Hi, I’m David, the owner of DJT Home Services. I help homeowners in Welwyn Garden City with smaller jobs around the home, all carried out with care and attention to detail.
That includes everything from assembling furniture and mounting TVs or mirrors to helping set up and use everyday technology. I work exclusively within the town, covering AL7 and AL8.
Why I Do This Work
I’ve always been hands-on around the home, but one of the turning points came when the contractor we’d booked to install our kitchen pulled out shortly before the work was due to start. Rather than look for someone else, I decided to do the work myself. Finishing the kitchen gave me a real sense of satisfaction. It made me realise just how much I enjoy practical work and gave me the confidence to take on something more ambitious.
A few years later, I designed a single-storey extension to our home and completed much of the build myself over five years while working full-time. It was a far bigger undertaking, but I enjoyed the challenge of solving problems and seeing the project gradually take shape.
Those experiences eventually led me to start DJT Home Services. Today, I draw on the skills and experience I’ve built up over the years to make a real difference to how a home looks, feels and functions.
