Can Everything Be Mounted on Any Wall?

Not necessarily. Solid brick, blockwork, plasterboard and stud walls all have different characteristics, and the right approach depends on the item being installed and the loads involved.

The size and weight of the item, its mounting hardware and the construction of the wall all need to be considered. Larger mirrors, storage units and other substantial fittings may require additional assessment.

If I don’t believe an item can be securely installed in the proposed position, I’ll explain the concern and discuss any practical alternatives rather than proceeding with an unsuitable fixing method.

Some safety-related fittings also have specific installation requirements, so I’ll assess their suitability before accepting the work.

• A Photo or Product Link: Send me a photo or link to the item(s) you’d like installed. For mirrors and pictures, a photo of the back is particularly helpful so I can see the hanging hardware.
• A Photo of the Wall: If possible, show me where you’d like the item positioned.
• The Number of Items: Let me know how many things you need hanging or fitting.
• Your Postcode: So I can confirm you’re within my service area.

I’ll review the details and provide a clear quotation wherever possible.

Standard wall fixings are included in my quote. If additional brackets, specialist fixings or other materials are required, I’ll confirm the cost with you beforehand.
